Notification of changes to the underlying fund of S112 Jupiter Global Financials

Friends Provident International Limited (“Friends Provident International”) has been informed by Jupiter Asset Management (“The Company”) of the following underlying fund changes, which will take place on 03 December 2018 (the “Effective Date”).

The underlying fund into which S112 Jupiter Global Financials invests will undergo a name change and an investment objective and policy change. Accordingly, the name and investment objective and policy of S112 Jupiter Global Financials will also be amended to reflect these changes, on the Effective Date.

Details of these changes are summarised in the following table.

Investment objective and policy of the underlying fund

To achieve long term capital growth principally through investment in equities of financial sector companies on an international basis.

The Fund will invest primarily in an international portfolio of financial services companies worldwide. The Fund will also invest, to a lesser extent, in property related companies. The companies in which the Fund invests are considered by the Investment Manager to be undervalued and exhibit favourable growth prospects arising from characteristics such as proven management or strong products or services.

To achieve capital growth in the long-term.

The Fund will invest at least 70 per cent of its Net Asset Value in a global portfolio consisting of: (i) equity and equity related securities (including preference shares, warrants, participation notes and depositary receipts) which may be issued by issuers located in any country and which the Investment Manager believes drive or benefit from (or have the potential to drive or benefit from) financial innovation, including but not limited to payments technology, digital financial services, mobile banking and blockchain; and (ii) financial derivative instruments. The companies in which the Fund invests are considered by the Investment Manager to be undervalued and exhibit favourable growth prospects arising from characteristics such as proven management or strong products or services.
